Remember Me

I wrote this poem for a friend who had lost her Mom. It is difficult to write poems in memory of the departed, because (at least for me) my goal in writing is to bring some sense of peace and solace to those left behind. With this poem, I tried to encourage my friend to focus on the happy times she shared with her mother, and I also wanted to leave her with the hope that one day, they would have a chance to meet again.

"Remember Me" was written for the people in your life that have passed away. Sometimes we need the comfort of knowing that they are alright, even though they are gone. I hope some can get comfort out of this poem. Tell me what you think, comment and even share.
